Please make
every effort to attend the Southbroom Ratepayers
Association AGM on Saturday 20 December 2008 at 09h00 at
the Southbroom Golf Club.
Ratepayers
and residents will decide by majority vote:

The
recommended way forward for Main Beach Tidal Pool
-
To
uphold the current Town Planning Scheme, or not.
-
The 6
members of the incoming committee.
Current
committee members Bruce Mackenzie, Kingsley du Plessis,
and Graham Volck offer themselves for re-election.
Graham has made himself available for the position of
Treasurer. Further nominations will be made by the
floor.
Please note
that the Chair and Vice-Chair of Southbroom Ratepayers
Association and the Chair and Vice-Chair of Southbroom
Community Policing Forum serve the Board of Southbroom
Property Owners Association, the Section 21 Company that
conducts the business of the Southbroom Urban
Improvement Precinct (UIP).

AGAINST CRIME TOGETHER
Housebreaking Crime has reduced year on year in
Southbroom. Statistics for the last two months follow:

Every effort is
being made to ensure that Southbroom residents and visitors are
safeguarded over the season and that December stats return an
all time low:
-
Your CPF
(Community Policing Forum) has contracted 2 additional ADT
vehicle patrols 24/7 during the season
-
In total, at
least 5 armed response vehicles will be in the area during
the season - 3 ADT, 1 Chubb, and 1 Maser
-
Our Sector
Policing patrols will be bolstered by additional SAPS
resources
-
Hibiscus Coast
Municipality have added significant manpower to municipal
policing which will also be in evidence in Southbroom

Southbroom Sector
Manager, SAPS Inspector Welcome Shusha, warns residents to
be mindful of being followed. Organised crime hit Trafalgar this
week when a resident was followed to their doorstep after
drawing a substantial amount of cash from a bank in Margate.

Septic Tank treatment products
are now available at Southbroom Supermarket. They will also
be on sale at the Southbroom Ratepayers Association Annual
General Meeting - Saturday 20 December 2008, 09h00,
Southbroom Golf Club.
Southbroom ratepayers and
residents can substantially reduce E. Coli counts through
effective and safe septic tank operation.
